Dara Breeze
Artist| Photographer | Digital Storyteller
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dara Breeze is a multimedia artist with a background in photography, graphic design, and filmmaking. Since 2017, she has captured photographs and turned them into graphic art Afro-Futurism inspired pieces. Her passion for photography and digital storytelling comes from empowerment of agency in giving a voice to those who aren’t heard. She uses her lens as a tool to showcase the beauty in diversity through representation.
During her undergrad at Washington State University, she explored the spectrum of inclusion and diversity inside digital humanities as well, as researching the opportunities for finding a solution in the current issues of Ai technologies. These issues are associated with the lack of positive representation of minority populations due to the lack of narratives the media conveys. Her goal is to create a platform that normalizes intersectionality while creating opportunity for authenticity.
